This year's GLOW Jack O' Lantern Walk was another huge success! Between ticket sales, sponsors, raffle tickets and merchandise sold, we were able to raise $23,359! 

We have many people and businesses we would like to thank from the bottom of our hearts for making GLOW happen and ultimately supporting our Youth Scholarship Fund for Nature Immersion Programs. With your support, we are able to offer more scholarships to more families and provide even more nature immersion and connection experiences.

PUMPKINS

Of course, it wouldn't be a jack o'lantern walk without the pumpkins! We had almost 450 jack o' lanterns on our trails, all carved by the kids, teens and staff in our nature programs! That's A LOT of carving, and we are super grateful to our staff and some amazing parents who volunteered to help out with this messy and fun project. These pumpkins were donated by Johnny's Seeds, Hannaford at Cook's Corner in Brunswick, Walmart in Brunswick, Home Depot in Portland, and Lowe's in Portland. 

VOLUNTEERS & DONATIONS

We would like to thank our many volunteers who made GLOW possible by offering their time, bake sale donations and delicious homemade food for our volunteers and staff during the event. All of these volunteers were parents of children and teens in our Nature Immersion Programs! We are so grateful for all of you - GLOW just wouldn't work without you! We also had a Raffle with 3 big raffle prizes - thank you to those who donated to the raffle including Patagonia Outlet in Freeport, Andrea Gerson of Life Organized, Let's Go and a crafty Through the Trees Mimi who donated beautiful handmade items. We were also psyched to have some delicious cider provided at cost by Gile's Family Farm.

Finally, thank you to everyone who supported our mission by purchasing tickets and coming out for a fun night at Through the Trees! We are also grateful to those who bought TTT merchandise at the event and purchased raffle tickets. These sales are vital to fundraising efforts for GLOW, and we are thrilled to have this support.

We look forward to another fun-filled, spooky, spectacular, glowing gathering next October! 

About GLOW

🎃 Join us this Halloween for our 4th Annual GLOW Fundraising Event! Each year this event is such SPOOK-tacular fun, as families and friends of all ages dress in costume and meander through the forest, with jack o'lanterns all aglow. This festive walk is available for three nights!

🎃 Walk with your group on the wooded trail, lined with glowing jack o' lanterns carved by the kids and teens in our nature programs. Continue on the trail of glowing pumpkins or take a slight detour on the Spooky Trail - if you dare! At the end of the walk have your group's picture taken with our spooky photo scene, enter the raffle for some awesome items, and enjoy hot cider by the campfire.

🎃 Proceeds raised from this event are essential in supporting the Youth Scholarship Fund for our Nature Immersion program for ages 4 to 17, making our programs accessible to more families. We hope you will join us for a glowing October evening in nature, while helping us get more kids outside to experience the healing and rejuvenating effects of the natural world!

Two Ways to Give

🎃 Tickets for the Walk 

When you purchase tickets for this walk, your money is going directly to scholarship needs for youth participants in our nature programs. There is a limited number of tickets for each time slot, starting at 5:00pm each evening. Tickets are sold PER VEHICLE (not per person). The walk takes 20 minutes to complete (depending on your pace) and is approximately 1/3 mile on mostly flat trail through forest and field, ending with cider, tea and music by our campfire! This event will be held in light rain or shine. Severe weather may result in cancellation or use of rain date on 10/30.
