It illuminates an invisible web of love and light that cradles all of existence, across space and time. It has guided you since your conception and will lead you back to the stars."- Whitney FreyaGather together for a morning of creative fun outside in nature as we dive into sacred geometry. No matter where you are, there is no denying the presence of geometric shapes all around us! From the molecules of our DNA, expanding out to the stars and back, to the unfurling of ferns, we are surrounded by and even held within these shapes. Together we will explore the common shapes and their meanings: triangle, circle, square, spiral, plus sign and seed of life. All ages welcome as layers will be provided. For the wee ones, stencils and traceable shapes will be provided, to basic compass work for those wanting to dive into the flower of life or metatron's cube. Have you ever made a brightly-colored beet and berry tie-dyed t-shirt? What about creating color using acorns, turmeric, and spinach? Before synthetic dyes were created, many fabrics were colored using just plants. Join us at Through the Trees for some tie-dying fun, using natural dyes made of wild plants, foods and other natural coloring. We will experiment with different colors to create various dyed fabrics. If you have something special you would like to dye, please bring it with you. Through the Trees will also provide various scraps of fabric.
As is with all our events, this class will be held outdoors, so please dress accordingly. In the event of rain, the class will be held in our covered, open space. If weather is severe, an email cancelling class will go out to participants on the morning of the event.
