In this class, we will take a closer look at Dandelion, discussing the physical and energetic properties of this plant. Through the Trees Guide Kendall Scott and Community Herbalist Becky Alden Vail will share identification characteristics, medicinal and culinary uses, and how you can connect with the spirit of Dandelion. Guests will be able to sample various dandelion-made tinctures, oxymel, tea, and sautéed dandelion greens. Please bring a mug for tea! For ages 16+.

We will walk the land, sharing information about plants and trees that are edible, noting identifying characteristics. At the end of our walk, families will be invited to try foraged tea and taste some food prepared from wild edible plants over the campfire. There will be a nature craft available for children as well. All ages welcome. Please bring a mug for tea.

Read moreLet's gather together for some good ol' campfire cooking! For this class we will have fun cooking various foods over our campfire. We will also forage to make wild tea. Participants will be able to make their own individual food, and there will be a vegetarian soup for the group. Please be sure to bring your own bowl, spoon, and mug. This class is for families with children of all ages and individual adults. This is not a drop-off class for children.
The entire class will be held outdoors and will include a short walk on our wooded trail about 1/10 mile to our space. Human Composting Outhouse-style bathrooms are available. If weather is severe, this event may be rescheduled or cancelled.
