Monday, August 19 through Thursday, August 22

Join Through The Trees and Adventure Bound on a unique four-day rafting and camping experience in Maine. Included on this adventure is camping for one night at Adventure Bound's remote campsite on Indian Pond accessed by boat. Participants will enjoy freshly prepared meals and a wilderness sauna at this remote site! The other 3 nights will be spent in cabin tent accommodations at Adventure Bound, where we will have access to hot showers, pool, hot tub, disc golf, basketball court, and more.

This trip departs from and returns to Through the Trees - we will ride together to Adventure Bound in Caratunk, ME together.

Day 1 - Travel in our TTT passenger van to Adventure Bound. Settle in, use Adventure Bound's amenities, sleep in cabin tents that night.

Day 2 - First thing in the morning, we will head to Moosehead and launch our rafts on the East Outlet, paddling through some smaller rapids, ending in Indian Pond, 3 miles away. After lunch, the rafts (called Bucket Boats) are clipped together using rope and then attached to the motor boat, which hauls a magnificent line of blue boats 7 miles down Indian Pond to the Overnight campsite. Set up tents, swim, enjoy a snack, and later dinner cooked over the open fire. Enjoy the wilderness sauna after if desired!

Day 3 - A hearty breakfast is served, gear is packed up and everyone gets back into the bucker boats to be hauled by motorboat 2 miles to our bigger white water rafting adventure on the Kennebec! Lunch is served riverside and then we head back to base camp at Adventure Bound to enjoy the amenities (pool, etc). Sleep in Cabin tents this night.

Day 4 - Breakfast, take our time packing up and then we begin our drive back to Freeport - but not without a stop at a swimming hole or shorter hiking adventure along the way!

  • Through The Trees

“It was so nice to connect with people in nature over tea and share and learn together about the full moon. The releasing ceremony was just what I needed to get rid of what no longer serves me and make room for more positive things in my life. I left feeling lighter and with a great sense of peace and contentment.”

  • Through The Trees

“We did forest bathing and learned about trees and sustainable use of tree parts for tea and tinctures. It really helped me feel centered and grounded, and I can’t wait to try making Tree tea at home.”
