Through The Trees is looking forward to another season of skiing and snowboarding!
For the 2024 season, we will be meeting on Fridays starting January 5th at Mt. Abram in Greenwood, Pleasant Mountain in Bridgton and Black Mountain in Rumford. The schedule of where we will be and when is posted below. This group is open to any families or individuals who have Fridays open and want to hit the slopes with us! We usually have up to 20 families head to the mountain each Friday, creating our own little TTT ski & board community. It's been a blast!
All tickets, rentals and lessons will be purchased directly through the mountain (no group rates are available). Many of us use Scarborough Golf & Ski for seasonal rentals. All mountains offer free tickets for younger children - check each mountains ticket page below FMI.
We recommend purchasing the WinterKids App for $40 for a family of 5 or less to receive big lift ticket discounts at the mountains!

MT. ABRAM
Mt. Abram is located in beautiful Greenwood, Maine. The ski area offers 51 trails, five lifts, and a vertical drop of 1,150 feet. There is a magic carpet for beginners outside of the Westside Lodge. Many cherish the friendly ambiance created from the multi-generational families that call the mountain home for the winter season. Mt. Abram is the winner of the 2012 Golden Eagle Award for Environmental Excellence.
Winter Kids App: 50% off junior lift tickets with a paying adult. Valid for kids 17 and younger. This offer has no usage limit and can be used multiple times per child on your account.
PLEASANT MOUNTAIN
Pleasant Mountain is nestled in Bridgton in the foothills of Western Maine, surrounded by lakes and stunning views of the Presidential Mountains. Pleasant has 6 lifts, including 2 beginner carpets and 47 trails and glades. Purchasing lift tickets online in advance offers deep discounts, so be sure to plan ahead!
Winter Kids App: Free junior lift ticket with a paying adult. Valid once per child ages 6-12.
BLACK MOUNTAIN
Located in the beautiful mountains of Western Maine, in Rumford, Black Mountain is the 4th tallest operating ski resort in Maine with 1380’ of vertical. They feature snowmaking on over 75% of their ski & snowboard trails. There are two chairlifts, one T-bar and a beginner's area with surface lift (a series of paddles designed for the little ones to hold onto & be brought up a gentle hill).
Lessons are NOT available on Fridays.
Winter Kids App: Free junior lift ticket with a paying adult. Valid twice per child ages 6-12. Kids in grades K-2 ski free every day.
