Join us for a night of star-gazing at Through the Trees (2 Griffin Rd, Freeport, Maine)! We will identify some common constellations and also collect data for a citizen science project measuring light pollution. Families will have the option to contribute more data from home with a take-home activity. Please dress warmly and bring a flashlight for each member of your group. Bring a blanket and picnic dinner. We will have a fire going if you need to cook your food or just warm up. Feel free to bring any binoculars or telescopes if you wish! We will be walking out to our star gazing spot from the parking area together, so please be sure to arrive at 4pm and stay as long as you wish until 7pm.
As is with all our events, this class will be held outdoors, so please dress accordingly. If the weather does not allow for star-gazing, the make-up date will be Saturday, December 9th.
